here comes the weekend

And it's my birthday tomorrow.  

I'm looking forward to uncovering the birthday surprises 

that I've half-heard, being whispered just out of ear shot.  

I'm hoping they include some time at the beach; 

lots of sweet company from those I love; and 

a good bit of art created by the little hands that I adore.
