in my neighborhood

A gorgeous morning in San Francisco, 

led to walking my daughter to school.  

About a 40 minute trip--up and down 

the many hills between here and there we went. 

 Morning sun warming our faces.
A Morning Bun from Tartine delighting our insides.

And then this wonderful thought,
sweetly painted on a nearby storefront.

Nothing like a wander through the neighborhood,
holding my daughter's hand,
to remind me of all
the sweet little pleasures of life.

The little girl loved her dress so much, that Easter was an impossibly long time away to wait for the first wearing.  Instead, she debuted her Pru dress on a visit to a farm, 

where her patient and clearly, lovely Mom, 

followed closely behind, dusting her off, as she went.
