I find it hard to celebrate women, for a day, when women are so central to each & every day!
But in honor of the International Women's Day--which actually started in reaction to working conditions in the garment industry, in the early 1900's--
I feel a particular kinship with the day.
I raise my glass to all the women who cleared the path for me--
fought the hard battles; stood up for their families;
and rallied against those who didn't believe that women could make a difference.
And to women today, who make their lives what they need to be--
making choices that suit their desires.
I'm thankful to each and every one of you!
